About The Programme

TASK Research Academy (TRA)and UVU Bio have formed a strategic partnership to address the skills gap of practical experience and real-world scenarios of clinical research to empower students seeking careers in this sector.

Candidates will receive the follow certifications:

  • International Conference of Harmonisation (ICH) Good Clinical Practice (GCP),
  • South African Good Clinical Practice Training (SA-GCP)
  • Ethics in Clinical Research

 

  • Have a matric certificate with a minimum of 60% in Pure Mathematics or a minimum of 70% in
  • Maths Literacy.
  • Fluent in the English Language (verbal and written)
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have not studied further than matric.
  • Attention to detail
  • Assertive
  • Adaptability and a good team player
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Within the age range of 18 to 35 years old.
  • Be under or unemployed at the time of application.
  • Be located in Cape Town or able to commit to relocating for a period of four months.
  • Able to attend full-time training Monday to Friday in Cape Town.
  • Able to commit to the full four-month programme and committed to completing it.
  • Be available to start from 7 July 2025

    Our application process consists of several stages. Applicants who have met the requirements will undergo a phone interview, followed by a face-to-face interview, should they be successful in the first round. The final stage involves an online test to evaluate cognitive abilities.

    Yes, all of the interventions offered by UVU Bio are funded and stipends are provided to all candidates. We do not sponsor any relocation costs.

    Our programmes are not virtual; they offer a face to face experience at Cape Town offices, aligning closely with the real-world work environment and exposure to laboratory equipment.
